See How a Full-Mouth Reconstruction Can Help You Smile Again
What we do first is on a full-mouth reconstruction is we get some models and I do some work behind the scenes. We get a wax up. What a wax up is is we take a mold of upper and lowers and we send it to the lab. I design the case and I have the lab wax up what I want the patient to see. So when we get the models back, I can actually show the patient the wax up of their teeth and say, How do you like this? They tell me the pros and cons and we make the changes on the wax up so we can get it right.
Added: I got another story about another rehab. The guy has always wanted to do it. He’s a big business man here. We did it just like that: we got a wax up, we did a full-mouth crowns across his front and his lowers. He was smiling. He even did a commercial with the temporaries on; he was so proud of the temporaries. When we delivered the final case, it turned out beautiful. He was happy.
