Q: Does teeth whitening really work?
Teeth whitening definitely works, but only if you trust the professionals!
Store-bought kits that have messy strips and poorly-fitting mouth trays always fail to deliver on their promises to truly brighten your smile.
But with our professional whitening systems at Hawkins Complete Dental Service, you’re getting trusted, reliable treatment that will make a real difference in how you look and feel!
Q: What are my options for replacing teeth?
You can choose from several tooth replacement options here. For a single missing tooth, Dr. Charles Hawkins can attach a dental crown to a dental implant, or you can opt for a dental bridge. A dental bridge or partial dentures can replace multiple missing teeth. And you can get full dentures to replace a mouthful of missing teeth. For replacement teeth that feel, function, and look a lot like your natural teeth, we can attach dentures to dental implants.
Q: Am I too old for orthodontics?
Not at all! Tooth alignment can be improved at any age as long as your gums and bone structure are healthy. You can get traditional metal braces or Invisalign in our Zanesville, OH dentist office. Though Invisalign isn’t right for every smile, it’s popular with adults because it uses clear aligner trays instead of metal brackets and wires to straighten teeth. Dr. Hawkins will determine which orthodontics option is best for you.
Q: Am I a candidate for dental implants?
Dr. Hawkins will need to examine you to know for sure, but chances are good that you’ll be able to get dental implants. In the past, a thin jawbone would have prevented you from getting implants. But mini dental implants, which are about half the size of full-size implants, have made it possible for him to place implants in areas where it wasn’t possible before.
Q: Can I get dental sedation?
Yes, we offer three types of dental sedation so Dr. Hawkins can use the one that will work best given your level of anxiety and the procedures you need. Inhaled sedation provides a mild feeling of euphoria. For a deeper level of relaxation, you can get an oral sedative or IV sedation. Only a few general dentists in southeastern Ohio are licensed to offer IV sedation, and Dr. Hawkins is one of them.
